In the case of Marine Lot I have to complain that having, in consequence of due record not appearing in the Land Office, been remeasured, and the annual rental advanced, from £42.10, the assessment exhibited to me in the book at the Land Office when I purchased the ground, to upwards of £70.
In the other case, in consequence of an erroneous entry in the Land Office Book, (which I did not see until the Parliamentary Blue Book was published in 1848), of ground, which was granted and occupied in 1842, is charged to me at the annual rental of 1844, also involving a considerable difference in the rate.
I have prepared statements of these grievances, which I now beg to inclose, and leave the matter for your decision.
